im no-ipod geek... not really...
Kahlil... a member of the now never-to-be-reunited-again Marc Foundation founded on January of 2005 (though I hope one day we could still be) was the first ever to own an ipod within our drink mate group of friends. We are about seven before and new recruits joined. Why not he's the more blessed one in terms of money bills. Remembering those times when we drink (beer) like hell still makes me laugh at what we have done or who had puked where or if we could race the sun from going home to avoid its sizzling touch to our skin. Yes, most of the times we end up our drinking session until 5 a.m. or so. This dude Kahlil hated everybody in the group especially Nathan for borrowing his portable media player every now and then. (The Marc Foundation consists of alcohol-freaks namely Marc, Kahlil, Sylvia, Dennis, Salamina, Nathaniel and me). His ipod back then stored approximately 2,500 songs. So why hate Nathan? Ask Kahlil or ask anyone of us.
We do fight when Kahlil comes from his crib and spend his day with us gulping alcohol. Everybody would want to sit next to him so by the time he's tired of listening to his toy, we could grab it right then. With beers and munchers plus his downloaded songs, everything is set for me if I could grab it first. It so small it fits in my tiny palm and weighs a little lighter than our cigarette pack. The headset is ear-friendly and the color really is fine with me. Everybody except me dreamed of owning one except me. I'm not really into it because it just plays songs. So what's with the songs, right? Err... Anyway, the thing actually was the latest of its kind.
Then here comes this ipod nano 2nd generation stuff. I kinda felt amazed reading its features. It now can download up to 7,500 songs. Plus now you can actually view a video with this. It now has a brighter display than that of Kahlil's. An added feature is installed. The ipod nano 2nd generation has built in song search. It means that you can find the song that you want by just picking the letter using the touch wheel. As you do this you will see the list of matching song titles shrink until you find the song you were searching for. The search will find a word in a song regardless where the word falls in the song title. For example, you are searching for a song with the word bottle in it, it will find Genie in the Bottle and Message in a Bottle. Amazing! Aside from that, the battery of this new ipod nano 2nd generation can reach up to 24 hours. Though I'm not sure of this feature yet. You may own one with the color choices. However, it is only available in 6 colors in each capacity choice. The 2gb nano is only available in Silver while the 4gb version comes in Silver, Pink, Blue, Red and Green. I want to own a pink one.
